Professor Sue Evans is Director of the population-based Victorian Cancer Registry.  She oversees the capture and distribution of cancer incidence, prevalence and survival data in Victoria. Professor Evans leads a research program focusing on optimising capture and use of cancer data to improve health outcomes. This includes research to improve quality of life for those living with cancer.  She has led development of clinical quality registries within Australia and globally. These focus on gathering high quality data to measure, compare and monitor progress of quality of care over time.  Until 2019, she was the custodian of a global prostate cancer registry and the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry-Australia and New Zealand.
